      Get ready for a fun-filled month of fishing, family time and community connection with the inaugural Coastie Kids Fishing Comp! Created by Whangaparaoa Kindergarten this unique charity event, children's fishing competition brings tamariki (children) and their whānau together to celebrate our coastal roots and foster a love for nature, sustainability and marine conservation.

      Event Highlights:
      • Fishing Competition: Open to kids aged 15 years and under. Fish anywhere in New Zealand coastal waters throughout February and submit your entries via email
      • Prizes Galore: Cash prizes for the top three catches ($500, $300, $200), a $600 jet ski hire voucher, and plenty of toys, vouchers and surprises! Check out the facebook page "Coastie Kids Fishing Comp" to check out all the amazing prizes up for grabs
      • Give it a go days: No gear? No problem! Families can join beginner-friendly fishing days with all the support they need to get started.
      • Sandcastle Competition: Share your most creative sand creations for a chance to win 
      • Just be sure to attend prize giving at Coastie Kids Celebration Day on 2/3/25 to have a chance at claiming a prize!
