This spring, the Māoriland Hub turns into a cosy little theatre for seven weeks of kiriata and kōrero. From September to November, a selection of Thursday nights will be your chance to slow down, sink into a beanbag, sit back in a chair, and lose yourself in the magic of cinema. Bring your own pillow and blanket if you wish!

Seeds Synopsis:

Ziggy, a social media influencer, is hired to promote a seemingly eco-friendly campaign celebrating “nature.” However, she soon uncovers a dark corporate conspiracy to exploit Indigenous knowledge, erase cultural practices, and patent ancient seeds for profit. Realising the campaign is a sham, Ziggy finds herself hunted by corporate forces. To protect her heritage, Ziggy must reconnect with her Mohawk community, language, and ancestral lands. She rediscovers her strength.
