Experience the Vibrance of India Through the Lens of Bollywood

A 90-minute dance spectacular celebrating Indian culture, rhythm, and storytelling

Join us for India Through the Lens of Bollywood — a dynamic, family-friendly performance presented by Abhinayaa Indian Dance Academy. This 90-minute extravaganza begins at 1:00 PM sharp, and brings the magic of Bollywood to life through 11 high-energy dance pieces inspired by Indian classical and folk traditions.

Led by founder Ramya, who brings over 35 years of experience, the performance takes audiences on a vibrant journey across India, featuring regional dances from Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Bengal, Telangana, Kerala, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Punjab. Expect a colourful celebration of movement and music, complete with authentic costumes, props, and infectious energy.

The show includes solo, duo, and large group numbers set to iconic Bollywood hits, with audience interaction during costume changes keeping the energy high and the experience immersive.

Come early and enjoy the pre-show buzz!
From 12:00 PM, Enjoy authentic Indian street food, a Bollywood-style photo booth, and free henna art for the first 20 guests, created by local artist Vaani Priya.

This event is open to everyone and made possible thanks to the support of Northland Indian Association Inc. and Bay of Islands-Whangaroa Community Board.
