Saturday afternoon concert features Michelle Velvin who is an active harpist and composer. She regularly performs in orchestra and chamber music ensembles, as well as solo performances, usually with a focus on featuring works by other NZ composers and original compositions. Michelle is also active in various pop/indie/folk bands, early music ensembles, her duo Tamira Pūoro (taonga pūoro, cello, vocals and harp) and is writing an album for voice and harp.
Sunday afternoon concert features Harrison Chau a New Zealand harpist currently undertaking postgraduate studies at the Royal College of Music in London. He performs as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral harpist. He is passionate about the harp’s versatility and the connection it creates with audiences. Harrison will be joined for this concert by Keeson Perkins-Treacher (Flute).
Monday afternoon concert features New Zealand musicians Lin Zheng (Guzheng), Ingrid Bauer, Carolyn Mills and Helen Webby and Pepe Becker (Soprano) who will present a varied programme, including works by New Zealand composers.
