This is a rare opportunity to hear some live organ music played by one of New Zealand's finest organists, Michael Bell.  Accurately described as "the King of Instruments," Michael will perform music to demonstrate its magnificent range and power offering a thrilling experience with music which can be both wonderfully calm and exuberant and dramatic.

Michael's programme will include Bach’s famous Toccata and Fugue in D minor, Star Wars : The Mandalorian (main theme),  Improvisation on  “God Defend New Zealand” and the ever-popular Wedding March by Mendelssohn

Michael Bell is resident organist, composer and music teacher at Kings School in Auckland.  He studied with John Wells at Auckland University and was Director of Music at St Matthews in the City from 2002 to 2016.  His 2022 recital at the Turner Centre was met with wide acclaim and his return will be welcomed by all those who are inspired by the music for this majestic instrument.
