Join us for For the Love of Reading, an inspiring evening dedicated to nurturing a lifelong love of reading in your child.

Award-winning New Zealand author Catherine Chidgey joins Kristin Middle School Principal Kate Pollard in conversation to explore the magic of adolescent reading, share insights from her latest work, and offer practical ways to engage young people with books. The evening will include recommended titles to spark interest and enjoyment for readers of all ages.

Cameron Lacey, Head of Faculty - English, will also provide an overview of Kristin’s reading curriculum, including what students are reading and guidance on the volume and consistency of reading expected across year levels.

Catherine Chidgey is one of New Zealand’s most acclaimed novelists, internationally recognised for her compelling storytelling and award-winning works. As a Creative Writing lecturer at the University of Waikato, she brings valuable insight into how young people connect with literature.

This informative and engaging event is suitable for parents of children at all ages and stages.
