We invite you to don your finest attire and join sponsors, dignitaries, and honoured guests for the official opening of the 2026 Art Deco Festival.

This prestigious occasion will feature a selection of performances representative of the festival’s programme, accompanied by elegant refreshments and canapés. Entertainment will be provided by the ever-popular Electro Swiggety duo. Ms Tara Trumpet with her sweet vocals and Big K Daddy on keyboard.

The opening celebrations will continue with the Whakatuwheratanga, on Friday morning at 8:45am. Soirée guests will be invited to attend a complimentary screening of Silent Moves Live, 7:30pm, Century Theatre, MTG, Napier. A 10-minute walk from the Art Deco Centre.
