Classic Cover Ellerslie Car Show -  8th February 2026, 10am - 4pm
NZ’s premier classic car show since 1972

The second Sunday in February has become a highlight in every New Zealand car lovers’ calendar. Thousands of car enthusiasts visit Ellerslie Racecourse to enjoy a different type of horse, the ones found under the bonnets of this country’s biggest line up of classic cars– many of them regarded among the world’s best restorations.

The Intermarque Concours d'Elegance is central to the show, celebrating classic and marque cars with competitions of an international standard based on presentation, appearance, originality, and excellence. The finest examples of cars compete for coveted awards in several classes – Teams, Masters, Survivors, 30/40/50 & Modified. This show will also see the introduction of ‘Little Legends’ a special judged class for scaled or pedal cars  

Aside from the Concours cars about 80 car clubs will create the biggest display of car marques from all around the globe. Clubs will be doing their best to represent this year’s theme, Icons of the Screen. There will be 'Child's Passports' for all kids, highlighting displays with special activities or giveaways for them.

The show is organised and run by volunteers from participating car clubs and all the proceeds made, are paid out to the clubs displaying on the day. 

On top of all that, there is the Park and Polish, a competition for the general public! 

Cars are directed to the special area beside the main pedestrian entrance and prizes are awarded at the main prizegiving.

The Ellerslie Concours Banquet
Saturday 7 February 2026, 5pm-10.30pm

An elegant new highlight of the Concours weekend, the Ellerslie Concours Banquet promises a memorable evening of fine dining and motoring camaraderie. Guests will enjoy pre-dinner bubbles and canapés, followed by a three-course dinner with wine included, all set among stunning automotive displays reflecting this year’s show theme.

The evening will feature an MC, guest speakers, and a special performance by Miranda Easten — acclaimed singer-songwriter, Classic Driver contributor, and one of New Zealand’s rising country music talents — performing an acoustic set to accompany the night’s celebrations.
