Please join us on the evening of Monday 23 February for a Parenting Masterclass delivered by filmmaker, author, and speaker Rob Cope—producer of the powerful documentary Our Kids Online—to share a to share an eye-opening and hard-hitting talk which addresses the realities that exist for our young people in the cyber world.

Doors open at 5:45pm for bubbles and canapes, Masterclass commences 6:30pm.

On the night, real time, live captions translated into Simplified Chinese will be displayed. 

The talk will explore:

• Cyberbullying – How bullies can reach kids 24/7
• Social media – The toll on mental health, from FOMO to anxiety and depression
• Gaming – How overstimulation affects the developing brain, empathy, and social skills
• Online pressure – From sending nudes to managing digital reputation
• Predators – The tactics they use and warning signs to watch for
• Pornography – How online content can distort ideas of sex, consent, and relationships
• AI – Emerging risks from deepfakes, voice cloning, and companion bots

• Setting effective filters and device controls
• Locking down smartphones for safer use
• Establishing healthy digital boundaries
• Applying three golden rules for online safety
• Having open, age-appropriate conversations
• Reflecting on family screen habits and connection
