West Otago Theatrical Society is super excited to bring this show back to Tapanui! 

A thrilling rock opera based on the last week of Jesus’ life, Jesus Christ Superstar has wowed audiences for over 50 years. Jesus Christ Superstar was Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s third collaboration (after The Likes of Us and Joseph). 

This show was last performed on the West Otago stage back in 2000, when Jeff Rea held the title role of Jesus. Jeff returns this time as musical director, teamed once more with the incomparable direction of Margie Rea and supported by Nicola Russell and Kirsten McIntyre.
