Set in the sizzling Jazz Age of the 1920s, Chicago tells the story of Roxie Hart, an ambitious vaudeville hopeful who murders her lover and spins the story to her advantage. When the truth emerges and loyalty falters, Roxie finds herself on death row alongside the legendary Velma Kelly.
In a society obsessed with headlines, spectacle, and celebrity, the courtroom becomes a stage and the media judge guilt long before the verdict is delivered. A sharp, satirical look at trial by media and fame culture, Chicago remains as relevant today as ever.
