      Well loved by performers and audiences alike, Mendelssohn's Elijah is one of the great choral works of the 19th Century.  It is a dramatic and operatic work with wonderful arias and big choruses.  It tells of the dramatic events in the life of the Old Testament prophet, Elijah. 

      The Bay of Islands Singers are joined by soloists Tania Priebs, Allison Harker, Scott Bezett with the role of Elijah sung by Chalium Poppy along with orchestra, directed by John Jackets.
