You’re invited to join us for a cosy afternoon at Gore’s St James Theatre, with entertainment by some of heartland NZ and Australia's best.
Hosted by Keily Smith.
Hailing from Central Otago, Just Janie is emerging as a compelling new voice in Aotearoa folk and Americana. Stepped in the golden warmth of the sixties and seventies, Just Janie reacts to modern experiences through a nostalgic lens.
Following her debut ‘Muse and Musician’, Just Janie gained global traction, surpassing one million streams. As The Spinoff (NZ) noted, “If you find yourself on a hike this weekend… mind daydreaming about Laurel Canyon, it might be the perfect time for Just Janie’s ‘Muse and Musician’.”
Sig Wilder & Friends are Aotearoa’s alt-country storytellers. The band is a D.I.Y. collective featuring Mads Taylor (drums/vocals), Tessa Dillon (bass/vocals), Sofia Machray (guitar/vocals) and Sig on vocals/guitar. Since forming, they’ve become a fixture in Wellington’s music scene, toured around Aotearoa, and won acclaim from The Post, Ensemble Magazine, UnderTheRadar, and RadioActive 88.6 FM.
“This project is about becoming content with who I am,” Sig says. “That’s how it started, and I am in no way finished on that journey. But I’m happy with the cowboy that I’ve become, regardless of any notions of how one “should” be a cowboy.”
Seating not allocated. First come, best seated!
