7:10pm | Jorges Nunes | Philosophy behind Port including tastings of vintage's from Portugal

Born in Porto, Portugal, in 1982, Jorge studied in his hometown until he decided to follow a 5 generations family tradition and go to the Universidade de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro to study Oenology (wine making). During the course, he worked in various wineries in Portugal and in the Napa Valley, California.

Jorge joined Symington Family Estates in 2007 working in various key areas including wine making, tourism and sales. He is based in the Douro Valley for close to two months every year, from mid-August to early October, helping in the winemaking along with his fellow winemakers. Following a role as the Port representative for Asia and in the US, Jorge moved to Hong Kong in 2012 and is currently responsible for the Symington Family Estates portfolio of wines in Asia and Pacific regions sharing his passion for the company’s portfolio of premium positioned Port brands such as Cockburn’s.

Jorge will outline the philosophy behind aged tawny port, how it is made and why it is so important to Graham’s. You will taste Graham’s 10, 20, 30 and 40 Year Old Tawny Ports plus a very special one to finish off. Places are limited.
