      POSTPONEMENT OF THE HAURAKI BIKE FEST

      I regret to inform you that the Hauraki Bike Fest 2024 due to be held on 6/7 April has been postponed. All ticket holders that have pre-purchased tickets will be refunded 100% of the ticket price. iTICKET will be in touch directly with ticket holders.

      I have made this difficult decision due to circumstances beyond our control, which have subsequently caused us to re-evaluate the timing of our event. Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused. 

      We will provide an update once we have resolved the underlying issues that lead to this decision, including additional funding, and resolving some of the legislative issues we faced.

      Thank you for supporting the inaugural Hauraki Bike Fest event, and we look forward to making this awesome event happen in the future. 


      Hauraki Bike Fest

      Plan to ride the inaugural Hauraki Bike Fest this autumn and have a day to remember on the Hauraki Rail Trail. Bookings are open, with seven specially curated Trail Experiences showcasing stunning scenery, local delights and hospitality. The rides cater for all ages and abilities, so choose the ride that best suits you.  The Hauraki Bike Fest will be held on Saturday 6 April at the Paeroa Maritime Park, and Sunday 7 April at the Bay View Hotel in Kaiaua.

      Meet the artists on The Sculpture Trail, indulge in gastro heaven on The Falls Experience, step back in time on The Gold Discovery Trail, or sample Gin with a dusting of edible gold on The Waikino Experience. Activities are plentiful in our Coromandel Experience, and it is all about cheese, texture, flavour, heritage and fun on The Cheese Lovers Trail. Last but not least, soar with the birds on The Shorebird Coast Trail for a majestic day by the sea on Sunday.

      Festival Hub

      On Saturday, start and finish your ride at the Festival Hub. Fuel up with delicious fare, grab a cold drink, listen to live music, kick back, and share the highlights of your Bike Fest experience with family and friends. From late afternoon, ensure you are at the Festival Hub to be in with a chance to win the Grand Prize – a West Coast Wilderness Trail Experience worth $5,000 plus other giveaways and prizes. Relax and enjoy the festival atmosphere, and make the most of the stalls, entertainment, live music, food and licensed bar. 

      Entry to the Festival Hub is included for both Saturday and Sunday participants. Bring your own bike, or hire a bike in advance with a local bike operator, which will be at the Festival Hub on the day of your adventure. If your bicycle or skills are a little rusty, before setting off make the most of the Tips & Tricks Sessions, which offer the chance to prep your bike or seek advice. You can also warm up, or have fun on the bike confidence course challenge. 

      If you would prefer to do your own thing, Freewheelers is designed for you. Set off on your own ride adventure from the Paeroa Maritime Park. Whether it is lunch in Paeroa or ice-cream in Hikutaia, you are guaranteed a memorable day. Tickets are limited for some Ride Experiences, so book ahead to secure your spot.
